BUTCH CASSIDY & THE SUNDANCE KID
Who doesn’t love a good western? Add Robert Redford and Paul Newman and you have the classic story of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, real life outlaws out on the run after a string of train robberies. Ranked in the top 100 American Films of all time by the American Film Institute, the movie has remained a beloved movie among viewers young and old since it’s original screening in 1969. We will be hosting the film at Sapphire Lutheran Homes (501 N. 10th St). As always movie and concessions are by donation. The film is sponsored by Farmers State Bank and Sapphire Lutheran Homes.

Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrel) is San Diego’s number one newsman. He relies on the sexism of the 1970’s to protect his place at the top, but it’s all threatened when a Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) a talented and ambitious reporter is hired to be his co-anchor. Anchorman has become a cult classic, poking fun at the sexist culture of the newsroom and workplace that peaked in the 1970s. This movie is sponsored by Farmers State Bank and Al’s Cycle. The Mighty Ducks
Join us for a showing of the classic underdog story of the Mighty Ducks, a ragtag hockey team who overcome adversity and bullying by a rival team with much nicer equipment to become the champions they are through teamwork and dedication. This movie is sponsored by Farmers State Bank, Al’s Cycle and the Hamilton Downtown Foundation. The movie will be shown at the Elk’s Lodge (203 State St, Hamilton).
Music + Potluck at the Rocky Mountain Grange with the Benevolents
Join HCC and the Rocky Mountain Grange for an evening of food, music and community arts. Potluck starts at 6pm, music by the benevolents from 7-10pm. Suggested donation is $10, kids are free. Proceeds support HCC’s effort to bring cinema back to the Bitterroot and the Grange’s mission to build community through events and affordable space rental. Based out of Missoula, Montana, The Benevolents are a groovy folk-rock five-piece that blends ripping guitar and fiddle solos, catchy vocal harmonies, and a driving rhythmic flow into funky, meter-crossing tunes. The Rocky Mountain Grange is located at 1436 S. 1st St Hamilton, MT.

Movie Pop Up: River Runs Through it
We are excited to bring you the classic Montana movie, A River Runs Through It. The Bitterroot’s own, Marshall Bloom, a consultant on the movie will provide an introduction. Movie and drinks by donation. Full concessions open at 6:30. Bring a seat if you want something more comfortable than a metal chair and join us in celebration of the waters that haunt us and the stories that make Montana special. Rhythm and Roam
We will have a table outside of the book store during Rhythm & Roam to get more community involvement, and get the word out to a big audience. We are in need of volunteers to help hang at the booth and spread the word.
